Delivery & Returns

Shipping Policy
Orders are generally shipped within 48 hours (Monday – Friday) using Finnish postal service or DHL Express service.

Finnish Postal Service:
Posti Package
Delivered to you in 2-4 business days, inc. tracking code.

DHL Express International:
Delivered to your doorstep in 1-2 business days, inc. tracking code. Shipping price depends on package weight and dimensions. You will see the calculated shipping cost at your Chekout page or by adding your address and pressing the “Calculate shipping”-button.

Shipping is FREE for orders made in Finland, and FREE for orders €500 and over within Europe. Choose the Free shipping  option at your Checkout Page.

Please note that if you are ordering outside the European Union the price does not include any duty or tax fees that you may incur in your country. You may be required to pay duty, VAT, or customs charges on your purchase. International orders will receive shipping updates from EMS or DHL Express.

DELIVERY
Orders placed before 14.00 during store hours (Monday – Friday) will be process the shipping the same day. Orders placed outside of these hours will be process next day we are open.

When your order is ready for delivery, you will receive an email with real-time tracking information. You can also see the delivery information and the tracking number on My Account page.

RETURNS
We hope you love your makuu™ products! In case you still would like to return or exchange your product, or your purchase is defective somehow you have the right to do that within 14 days after receiving your order.

Gift cards and custom-made orders are non-returnable.
Your item must be unused and in the same condition as you received it.
Please contact hello@makuu.fi before making the return or exchange. Please note, that you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning the item(s). You are also responsible for costs, if the item is damaged or lost during shipment. Replacing and returning of defect items are free of charge (without shipping costs)

Upon receipt of the returned product, we will fully examine it and notify you via e-mail, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a refund or a replacement as a result of the defect. If you are entitled to a replacement or refund, we will replace the product or refund the purchase price, using the original method of payment.

Refunds do not include any shipping and handling charges shown on the packaging slip or invoice. Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid and insured by you. You are responsible for any loss or damage to hardware during shipment. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Any amounts refunded will not include the cost of shipping.

Refusing to accept the order
Please note! If the customer refuses to accept the order or does not pick it up, the package will be returned to us. In this event customer is responsible for return shipping cost and any additional fees caused by this. Once we have received the package and processed the return all the fees above will be deducted from the return.

Unpaid return shipments
Packages that are sent back to us unpaid incur a lot of additional costs for us since we need to pay the postal service to redeem the unpaid packages.
We will charge 10€ per shipment to cover these additional costs and will deduct this charge from your refund. Thank you for your understanding!
